My story..

Once upon a time..

A somewhat slender girl with a very healthy relationship with food graduated college and took an office job where all day she sat.. and sat.. and SAT. Activity level dropped and fast food level intake soared and this once very healthy girl was getting puffy. She was also taking the advice of her coworkers and jumping on and off fad diets and playing around with diet pills. She no longer wanted to be healthy, all she wanted was to be skinny.

Finally, she shook off all the bad health tips and bursts of fad dieting and started running. She ran everyday, and she started counting her calories and focusing on low fat meals. She started looking more like herself, and she loved it. 

Making things even better, she got engaged to a wonderful man. This girl wants nothing more than in her engagement pictures and at her wedding to look lean, healthy, and happy. color&gt;

Mix well.&lt;br/&gt;-In a seperate bowl, whisk the olive oil, mustard, and lemon juice. Pour over salad and evenly distribute. Store in a refridgerator until ready to serve.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Easy peasy! &lt;p&gt;(I am in a wedding in T-42 days, and I want my &lt;strong&gt;shoulders, back, &lt;/strong&gt;and&lt;strong&gt; arms&lt;/strong&gt; to look toned and lean in my &lt;a href="http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Cotton-Sateen-Strapless-with-Ruching-and-Pockets-83312_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-Short-Bridesmaid-Dresses"&gt;strapless dress&lt;/a&gt;. In additon to my cardio (2x &lt;a href="http://www.self.com/fitness/workouts/2009/01/sizzle-calories"&gt;calorie sizzler work outs&lt;/a&gt; plus 40 minutes of walking), I&amp;#8217;ll work with the rowing machine and the bench press. 30 reps at a lower weight. I will also make sure I do various ab machines per each work out.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Also I plan to wake up with a quick yoga session, or a couple of reps of push ups and sit ups.)&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Nutrition:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;em&gt;1200 calories per WEEKday&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/em&gt;(With the holiday this weekend, and my mom&amp;#8217;s birthday, I &lt;em&gt;REALLY &lt;/em&gt;can&amp;#8217;t cheat this week as far as food. &lt;br/&gt;For &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;breakfast&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; I am going to stick to &lt;strong&gt;Kashi Go Lean&lt;/strong&gt; with &lt;strong&gt;almond milk&lt;/strong&gt; and a side of &lt;strong&gt;all natural no sugar added apple sauce&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Lunch&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; will be some variation of a sandwich or salad/apple sauce/raw leafy greens that is under 450 calories. &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Dinner &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;will hopefully NOT be all frozen. I&amp;#8217;m looking to make some egg white/argula salads and my favorite edamame salad (will post that recipe later.) &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Also, I want to make sure everything I put in my body this week has a purpose. For example, fresh vegetables keep me healthy and lean protein gives me energy. But what do those 100-calorie pack chips do? What does binging on raman noodles do? Nada. Remember you are not only giving into your hunger, but feeding your body.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Lately I&amp;#8217;ve been skipping breakfast (today for one) and I HAVE to stop. It&amp;#8217;s unhealthy and lowers metabolism.)&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Etc.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;em&gt;Vitamins&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/em&gt;(Taking supplements has really done wonders for my metabolism, mood, energy, and over all health. I recently stopped though, because I was on anti biotics and worried about the drug interaction. For those who don&amp;#8217;t know, Hungry Girl is a series of cook books designed for Weight Watchers with weight loss friendly recipes that are usually under 200 calories per serving.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;This cioppino (which means fish soup) recipe seemed too delicious not to try!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I did add some fats, to give the fish and soup stock a little more flavor. But I still think it&amp;#8217;s pretty Hungry Girl friendly!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ingredients&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;span&gt;1 can of clams, drained&lt;br/&gt;1 box V-8 tomato basil soup&lt;br/&gt;2 tablespoons Earth Balance soy-free buttery spread&lt;br/&gt;2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil&lt;br/&gt;2 cloves of garlic, grated&lt;br/&gt;2 teaspoons sea salt&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Recipe&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;span&gt;1. In a large pot, melt the butter and add the olive oil. Add in the garlic and let simmer over medium high for about 5 minutes. &lt;br/&gt;2. Add in the clams, and let simmer so the flavors maserate. &lt;br/&gt;3. Add in soup and stir well, until the clams and garlic are off the bottom of the pot and distributed within the soup.&lt;br/&gt;4. Turn up heat and cover until soup is thoroughly heated. &lt;br/&gt;5.
